Disgraceful Attack on the Food Bank

Yet again the opposition party move towards online bullying and attacks on the former councillor.

Once again, I was scrolling through the pages on Facebook and came across this frankly disrespectful remark against the food bank, Whether it has meant as a joke or not..

People don’t go the food bank with a begging bowl, it takes a lot to fight your self-pride and go to the council or GP for food support for your family. The Food Bank’s are a great cause supporting families who unfortunately in these difficult times can’t put food on the table. We should be helping people up, not pushing them down with disgraceful comments, I can only say i’m sorry to all the volunteers that support our local food back… KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

A local resident who helps at the food bank tried to comment on the original post but got ignored and blocked… “Independents do not like the truth. Hope Atherton doesn’t go down hill without our former councillor. I posted a comment on the ‘Northwest Tyldesley/Atherton Independent page’ regarding the disgusting ‘food aid’ post. Surprise surprise, I was blocked. Sign of things to come I surmise for Atherton.”
