Attention All Atherton Businesses

As you are probably aware your local Atherton and Atherleigh Councillors have been working on your draft Atherton strategic master plan for some months with Wigan council officers.

Labour councillors have been particularly involved and have attended every meeting. The draft plan is now at a consultation stage and the Atherton Business Partnership invited local businesses owners to a meeting serveral weeks ago.

However, in order to ensure the widest opportunity for business owners to contribute in the consultation. The next Atherton Business Partnership on the 11th September at 5.30pm in The Wheatshef on Market St and this will include a presentation by Mark Glover from Wigan council business Unit.

Mark will outline the support that can be given to local businesses by Wigan Council including the potential funding streams available. All local business owners and staff are invited to this meeting to discuss how footfall can be increase to benefit all businesses.

Your Atherton & Atherleigh councillors will also be at the event and the event will be advertise in the local press and blogs.
